# FasTrak Trip Explorer > Independent local browser tool for reading PDF/image FasTrak statements with browser OCR, importing CSV/JSON, filtering toll transactions, viewing approximate billed locations, and preparing editable review request drafts. ## Human guide - [Trip explorer](/#explorer): Interactive import, filtering, location map, and draft editor. - [Import and coverage guide](/guide): File fields, Bay Area facility coverage, custom station legends, mapping limits, and privacy. ## Read-only contracts - [OpenAPI 3.1 contract](/openapi.json): Public read-only API routes. - [Built-in station catalog](/api/stations): JSON object with stations, facilities, and coverage metadata. Custom client-side station legends are not included. - [Import JSON Schema](/api/import-schema): Lightweight canonical JSON structure, including arrays and objects with a transactions array. It is not a complete semantic validator or every accepted heading alias; the runtime parser additionally validates dates, times, amounts, and row-specific requirements. ## Example files - [Example 1 CSV](/samples/fastrak-sample.csv) - [Example 1 JSON](/samples/fastrak-sample.json) - [Example 2 CSV](/samples/fastrak-sample-2.csv) - [Example 2 JSON](/samples/fastrak-sample-2.json) ## Interpretation and limits - Built-in reference points cover all eight Bay Area toll bridges. Bridge full names and app aliases are supported; app aliases must not be described as verified official statement codes. - Express lane station code coverage is partial. The official toll-location directory does not provide a complete public master list of statement codes. Unknown codes are preserved for filtering and drafts; users can import station legends to add mappings. - Station legends accept JSON arrays, objects with a stations array, or CSV. A legend can define code/name/lat/lng or map a code to a known station using a station field. - Map coordinates are approximate reference points, not proof of actual lane entry, exit, trip distance, or driven route. A bridge charge may have one collection location. - Draft transaction lines contain date, time, tag/license, entrance, exit, and amount. Drafts request review and do not establish that charges are invalid. No email is sent and no dispute is submitted. - Transactions and custom legends are processed in browser memory, clear on refresh, and are not available from these APIs. No account login or transaction write API exists. Map tiles are fetched from OpenStreetMap and reveal the viewed map area. - PDF and image reading is implemented with self-hosted PDF.js and Tesseract.js. Document bytes stay in the browser. PDF/image limit: 20 MB, twelve PDF pages. Text layers are preferred; scans/screenshots use OCR. Results require editable review and confirmation before import. OCR targets the example Account Summary layout; unreadable rows need correction. No document upload API exists. - Example downloads use masked identifiers. This app is not operated by FasTrak. ## Official source - [FasTrak toll locations](https://www.bayareafastrak.org/en/home/toll-locations.shtml): Official Bay Area bridge and express lane facility directory.
